Each year, the Security Traders Association of Chicago (STAC) brings together key members of the trading community from across the country to connect, learn and exchange ideas. The 99th Annual STAC Mid-Winter Meeting, held in the heart of Chicago, featured an impressive line-up of industry-focused speakers and sessions covering key trends shaping the financial landscape.
EDX CEO Tony Acuña-Rohter joined industry leaders from GRIP Investments, Anthill Investment Technologies and Foley & Lardner LLP on the panel “Crypto Under a New Political Environment.”
Set against the backdrop of Chicago’s deep-rooted history in market innovation – from its futures and options exchanges to its role as a major trading hub – the panelists explored critical market structure changes needed for the healthy growth of U.S. crypto markets. There was broad consensus on the need for clear federal digital asset regulation, the defragmentation of liquidity to ensure investors and traders can access the best prices and the importance of centralized risk management to reduce settlement risk. These priorities closely mirror the work we’re doing at EDX Markets to foster a more efficient and transparent digital asset market.
The STAC Mid-Winter Meeting was a fantastic opportunity for Tony and the EDX team to engage with fellow industry leaders and contribute to critical discussions on navigating the intersection of traditional and digital markets.
Thank you to STAC for hosting another great event!
