Business Development Associate

In summary:

EDX Markets is looking for a Business Development Associate to grow our business within the sales and account management team, in addition to other areas of our commercial strategy. This includes involvement in lead generation, account management support, pipeline management with CRM, and working alongside other internal teams to support and improve our business processes. The BD Associate will report to the VP Head of Sales. 

Responsibilities and experience required:

  • Generate leads and uncover new customer and business opportunities through research, cold outreach, conferences and industry events. 
  • Help to establish and nurture meaningful partnerships, relationships, and channels of distribution. 
  • Support business team in research, strategy, pitches, follow-ups, and other sales related tasks.   
  • Support business team with data analytics, reporting, and other sales and marketing initiatives.   

Experience & Skills:

  • 3+ years of experience in a sales, business development, relationship management or client support/success role within the fintech, trading and/or cryptocurrency space.  
  • Customer-focused with the ability to be a good listener and relay concise feedback from customers to internal teams. Persistent, eager to follow up, and always keeps promises.  
  • Demonstrated ability to operate externally in a sales and client-facing capacity and internally to support other teams (marketing, onboarding, data/analytics). Self-starter who is comfortable working both independently and as a team player.  
  • Highly organized with the ability to prioritize in a fast-paced, changing marketplace. 
  • Detail-oriented with the ability to be concise.  
  • Previous experience with CRMs, experience with Salesforce is a plus.
  • Experience with data analytics tools, experience with Looker a plus.
